Following a series of traumatic events, including a transphobic assault and the death of a cousin, protagonist Mei flees to the deceased’s cabin in the Canadian countryside.  There, she goes on plenty of walks with dog, Hazel, and inadvertently discovers the hidden queer histories of her family and the town.
